I have not had pet insurance before Trupanion. I got it when I adopted a new kitten, certified and healthy and ready to go by his doctor. He was diagnosed with chronic kidney failure at about 6 months old and is now going on seven years old, thanks to steady medical support and pet insurance to help with the recurrings costs of his unanticipated chronic illness.
