The claim was dealt with fairly and I agree with the payment. My pet passed away last week and the person I spoke with on the phone was so kind and compassionate. Trupanion is truly staffed by people who love animals.

Payment method not preferred
I preferred when the vet was able to submit and we only had to pay the difference. Trupanion’s amount was sent to the vet in a check and the customer didn’t have to worry about that portion and getting reimbursed for it.

It wasn't the person... she was nice. I just was disheartened when I learned that this insurance does NOT cover wellness or preventive measures.

I was told by this employee who is not a vet that all cases of ear infections are caused by allergies in dogs.
I was told by this employee, who is not a vet, that all cases of ear infections are caused by allergies in dogs. This is either a lie to use as an excuse to deny my claim, or it is outright wrong. Either way she is not qualified to make this opinion. She was reluctant to give me information about filing an appeal. She seemed very dishonest and I am extremely unhappy about this experience.

I refer all my dog clients to Trupanion. I think your coverage is great and every time I clal I get exceptional service. Carmen was such a blessing when I was feeling completely overwhelmed with a sick dog. She is a keeper!
