Worse experience I have ever had
I have a healthy dog who is 8 years old. She recently went to the hospital for bloody stool, diarrhea, and excessive dry heaving. Similar symptoms to a blockage in her intestines.. it was very scary as she is normally a very healthy happy pup. Thank goodness- there were no serious issues. She had a bunch of tests ran and the vet bill was approximately $1000.00. The claim was denied because my dog had gone to the vet for throwing up and having diarrhea in the past (not to mention she wasn't throwing up- she was excessively dry heaving this time). EMBRACE claims that having diarrhea is a preexisting condition-- I disagree- it is a symptom of being ill which is why you take your dog to the vet. She was given an actual diagnosis of Acute Gastroenteristis. She was given a clean bill of health from all blood tests and x-rays. Yet- they will not reimburse. I am dropping the insurance and completely disappointed in the experience. It feels very fraudulent. I warn anyone who thinks dog insurance is a good idea- it is not. They take your money and give you nothing.

Worst insurance ever
This is the worst insurance I have ever taken They haven’t paid a single dime on my claims and said they don’t have proper records and cancel my claim without any reason They are fraud , in every 3-4 months you get just one email saying we are processing but no new from them It’s money making business. No care for pet owners or pets Please don’t but ever this insurance

I had to file several claims over the last couple weeks as my cat had a urinary blockage and then a UTI as a result of the treatment. Every representative I've spoken to has been helpful, efficient, and very friendly. I am very grateful to Trupanion for helping me cover the expenses and don't know where I would be without them!

I have been so impressed with the service and coverage of my plan. Getting reimbursed is so easy and quick especially when my Vet submits the claims for me. The new app makes it even easier to submit the claims I need to on my own. I am one of the people with a dog that unfortunately has had a lot of health issues so I am so glad I got coverage when he was younger. Trupanion has saved me thousands of dollars and takes the financial stress away so I can focus on taking care of my dog's health. It is a must have for pet owners who want the best for their furry friends!

Trupanion has been a lifesaver.
Trupanion has been a lifesaver. Last year, I lost my baby boy, Emmitt, but without Trupanion I would not been able to give fighting chance to get better. There was nothing anyone could of done in the end, because he had heart failure, but at least the vet was able to try to safe him, without Trupanion, there would have been too many unknowns -why-

Very Happy Customer??
We have bragged about Trupanion since our wonderful pup was hit by a car ~6 years ago. We liked the business model/coverage and we were not disappointed in the least. btw, claims process is easy and fast. Trupanion has been with us through many illnesses. We love them!!!
