Healthy Paws Pet Insurance Company
If you are looking for pet insurance, I would highly recommend Healthy Paws. I have had insurance with this company since 2018. It's the first time I have ever held pet insurance and I am so glad I have it. My monthly premium, annual deductible and co-pay amounts are very reasonable. My little dog has had surgeries on both of her rear legs which were very expensive but were covered under my plan. Healthy Paws reimbursed me promptly so that I was able to pay my credit card off in a timely manner. Their website is easy to navigate and it is easy to upload documents for claims. You can also have the reimbursement sent directly to your bank account. I highly recommend this company if you are looking for pet insurance!

My 13 year old dog. Sandy became sick one night, vet found a tumor, tried surgery, but cancer had spread to far,had to euthanize. Insurance paid 60% of everything, including cremation. Very nice empathetic people.

Our Special Needs Baby
When we got our puppy a little more than 3 years ago, he was healthy, playful, and strong. Then as a 1 year old, he developed IBD and it has been a roller coaster ever since. Thanks to Trupanion, most of our medical bills were paid and we could help our little boy much easier. He is now getting better and we hope he will soon be all healed up. One month ago, we adopted a rescue and immediately insured him with Trupanion. Hopefully, we will never need to use their service like we needed to with our IBD boy, but it allows us to be relaxed about having two doggies in our lives again. Thank you Trupanion!

Substantial Rate Increase when claims are submitted
I finally submitted a claim for my dogs vet visits since it seems like she may have a bit of a allergy and ear issue. I submitted her vet records and bills and the very next day after I submitted them I got my rate increase with my renewal that was coming due. My rate increased by $122! The "explanation" for the increase is due to age. My dog isn't even 3 years old. It's pretty shady due to the fact that you can't go find another pet insurance due to their "Pre-Existing" clause. So my only option that I was told is I can change my coverage to lower my premium! That was the solution, So Now I will file and contact the department of insurance because this is a shady way to do business, not to mention they aren't allowed to increase rates due to filed claims. Absolutely disguested because they will continue to increase the rates year after year.
