Pet surgery and rehab rehabilitation

My insurance is through pet Best, but I have a very good understanding of my policy because I read the entire thing and I’ve also asked questions. Our dues have gone up every year as has everything else. But they have been good to respond. They’ve paid in a timely fashion, and I have been very pleased with pet Best and I’m glad I got insurance on my pet because we have had to use it. They have saved me thousands of dollars and I would recommend them.

Denied a common accident (dog swallowed foreign object)

Pets best denied my claim. This cost me $15,000, thinking that this would be covered. They denied paying a penny towards this, although I had purchased the insurance, with every added benefit available for them to pay 90%. I hope you will consider different insurance for your animals, this insurance is no good

Punitive and overbroad interpretation of "pre-existing conditons"

We switched to this insurance thinking it was a fair policy and good deal. But after a year, we tried to make a claim based on a hotspot on our dog's paw that had become infected. Yes, our dog has had a hotspot once before in his life, several years ago. However, he does not receive treatment for any ongoing condition. All dogs get occasional hotspots. Pet's Best rejected every aspect of the claim - the visit, testing, and treatment - on the basis of a "pre-existing condition." This was obviously an absurdly broad interpretation of a pre-existing condition--since it could effectively foreclose coverage for any future skin injury, infection or irritation--and left us no recourse. This was enough to make us cancel the insurance. I should note that our previous insurer was more expensive but would never deny a claim like that. We'll go back to them.

United Healthcare of pets insurance.

They asked how they could improve their services, i responded: Lower deductible to $100, pay for vaccines, ive paid $90 a month had most of my pets claims denied, hundreds in vaccines, and the one time a claim is accepted... i get $8 back after spending $660, because of the deductible and "fees". This company is the United healthcare of pets. So basically the only thing youre good for is in case one of my pets gets hit by a car and thats if they even survive. And who knows if you'd cover that, the car hitting them would provably be considered a preexisting condition.. seriously disappointed, probably going to cancel.

1 Star: Disputed Claim, Poor Transparency, and Unresolved Complaint

I had Pets Best for several years and paid over $800 per year in premiums. When I questioned the processing of a claim involving my cat's treatment, I spent months trying to obtain a clear explanation of how the deductible and reimbursement were calculated. My concerns were never adequately addressed, and a BBB complaint ended unresolved. While the dispute amount was only $50, the lack of transparency and customer service was extremely frustrating. I ultimately canceled my policy and would not recommend Pets Best based on my experience.

PetsBest - Amazing Company to work with

We carried PetsBest insurance on our dog for 5 years, never needing it until this year. Our little darling was diagnosed with severe anemia and it has taken several weeks of testing and appointments to try to determine the cause. Thankfully, PetsBest paid all our claims very quickly. Their claim process was simple and easy to use. I highly recommend PetsBest to everyone with a pet.
