Can't recommend Embrace enough
Let me first say that the Embrace phone representatives are beyond awesome. Prior to getting Rosie, our Boston Terrier, my daughter inlaw took out pet insurance on their rescued dog. At the time I thought it was extravagant. Before the policies first anniversary their dog needed surgery. Per the policy, insurance paid and it was indeed a wise investment. Within 6 months another family members dog ate rib bones and corn cobs from a 12 person rib fest which basically turned to cement in his belly. He didn't have insurance and his bill was over $5,000. This bill was all his and quite a hardship. When we got our Rosie I never wanted to be in the situation of weighing If I could afford medical treatment for her. Therefore, I decided to take out insurance when she was 8 months old. Honestly my husband grumbled a bit when I initially got it. The renewal came the following year and he resisted even more maintaining we've always had healthy dogs and this is an expense that we could do without. True we had always had healthy dogs, but I held strong and we renewed for the second year. December, 2017 my Rosie got sick with what I initially thought to be a canine virus, 3 consecutive days we had vet appointments as her condition continued to spiral. When her blood test came back we were off to the local emergency animal hospital, her liver #'s were off the charts. Enroute my husband said "well I guess we will see how great this pet insurance is!" I can tell you, you can expect to pay $1,000 minimum a day for emergency services and Rosie was a patient for 5 days. I was on the phone some of those days 3 times a day with Embrace as we journeyed through Rosie's medical issues and some of those days it was touch and go. Each and every Embrace phone representatives was so caring and compassionate and extremely knowledgeable. Rosie was our Christmas miracle! My second pup who just turned 8 months in December now has Embrace pet insurance as well. My husband was more than willing to add him to the policy. We take out insurance never hoping to find out how it works and if it's worth the investment. My husband and I can tell you as a verified user it only takes once. Per policy Embrace paid straight into my checking account without issue or a challenge. I rate Embrace insurance and it's team a 10. As I share my journey with others I always follow it up... if you have a pet or are getting a pet it's worth it. I pay less than one dinner/pizza out a month. A little sacrifice for peace of mind.

I have used ASPCA insurance for 10 yrs.
When i send all of the bills in for a problem/treatment at one time, i have rec'd a quick response. They send me an email verifying receipt of my paperwork and it doesn't take long before a check arrives in the mail. ASPCA premium prices, for similar services, are comparable to other companies, better than some. I have been using the company for 10 years for 3 different pets.

You guys have started to cover less and less
I've referred lots of people to Trupanion in the past but over the years, you guys have started to cover less and less when it comes to natural healing so that's been a bummer. Also, the monthly charges seem to go up quick a bit consistently.

Great service and coverage
I have had 6 cats with Pets Plus Us, with 5 currently with them. Their customer service I've always found to be excellent! Claim reimbursement times can be lengthy.. 3 to 4 weeks on average, there's been times it's been under 1 week... hopefully that can become more the norm for the company. They've always approved my cats claims other than a few times recently they randomly started denying his long time medication which they'd always approved and then denied the reassessment too, but that's fixed now! Other than that the only downside to PPU is they won't cover any dental at all! I get not covering routine dental and cleanings and knew that when I signed up. But my cat contracted calicivirus (confirmed via a PCR test) and was left with stomatitis and gum/mouth ulcers as a result of the virus continually flaring up.. which he requires antibiotics to clear up which they won't cover because it's 'dental' and he requires cleanings to ease the stomatitis and ulcers because of the calici too.. which they also don't cover. So if you have multiple cats or a cat more likely to come into contact with calici and want the coverage for the mouth/gum aspects of the virus I'd choose another company. This company is great for everything else! P.S I'd like to see a faster process for emergency preapprovals for over $1000, where direct pay to practice is concerned.

Not sure what I would have done without it...
I first bought Healthy Paws when my vizsla was 8. Within a year she was diagnosed with hemangiosarcoma. It was terminal. HP covered around $20,000 in expenses. We knew we couldn't cure her and I am sure HP did too. Together we gave her, and us, another 6 months. Now I have 3 dogs and they are all insured. It's just peace of mind. One of my dogs recently tore her ACL. With HP's coverage for one treatment that dogs insurance payments have been reimbursed to date. I only wish my own health coverage was this easy.

Lifesaver!
Both my dogs ended up with major medical bills at the same time - around $11,000. Thank goodness for Trupanion - not sure how I would have paid that on my own. I was able to get them the care they needed and for one dog in particular, it literally saved her life. Thanks, Trupanion!

Great variety of coverage
I am a new customer of embrace insurance and I can say I love it already. I choose embrace because they are the only insurance company that covers 100% wellness coverage with no deductible! This is extremely helpful as a new puppy owner. Knowing that vaccines, obedience training, spay/neuter surgery, and more is all covered 100% is so helpful. It definitely takes away from the financial stresses of owning a new puppy.

Embrace Exceeded Expectations on Both our Dogs!
We purchased Embrace 4-5 years ago when both our dogs - Beagle and Plott hound - were first rescued at 1 and 2 yrs of age and never needed it - until 2017! One dog was tested over several months and finally diagnosed with Cushings and the other suffered a massive herniated disc rupture resulting in surgery in December. Both of these claims are ongoing and Embrace has paid all of them in a timely manner, has always been courteous and helpful over the phone when I've called and made this entire experience less stressful by paying claims for the coverage we have been carrying. We are retired and on a modest fixed income so I believe that the monthly premium for insurance on your pets is well worth it when something like this happens.

Embrace has been very fair
I am 100% satisfied with the care and concern that embrace has shown to me and my buddy styx. Your claim settlements have been fair. Embrace has not tried to cheap out any claims we submit - they very fairly evaluate them and act on them accordingly. Your folks are easy to deal with, are very friendly yet extremely professional. A couple of years ago when I was shopping pet insurance companies - many folks suggest I go with embrace - they said you were fair. Thank you embrace - styx and I are very glad we teamed up with embrace. Sincerely
