100% satisfied with choice I made with Trupanion

100% satisfied with choice I made with Trupanion when I was looking at pet insurances and comparing care coverage when my puppy was adopted and wanted piece of mind on care.

Thanks ASPCA for all you do

Happy with ASPCA, but for what we pay per month .....would expect a little more back

Good coverage but takes almost a month for them to review a claim...

VPI was great and when Nationwide took over nothing changed. The one thing that I think they need to improve on is the time it takes to process and repay claims. Other insurance companies do it within a week where nationwide takes 3-4 weeks. They have sped it up with electronic deposits but only by 4-5 day’s. I’d give them a 10 if it wasn’t for this.

Really happy with Nationwide

We have had some troubles with our new puppy and Nationwide has really helped us defray the cost of those bills. Thankfully, our pet is healthy again because we could afford to take him to the Vet for his care.

Your service is so much improved!

I am a LONG time subscriber to this company--almost 20 years. Since Nationwide assumed ownership, service and speed and amount of reimbursement is vastly improved. I am a very satisfied client.

Continually Frustrated with Pets Best. Actually cancelled coverage

In the 4+ years that we had Pets Best, we submitted two claims, both of which were denied. The second denial was the most egregious (which we appealed) as the reason for the denial was because they either intentionally or accidentally miscoded what our dog had oral surgery for, claiming that it was not covered. As both the original diagnosis paperwork AND the notes from the day of the surgery indicated that the teeth were extracted because they were cracked, and that all other teeth were in great shape, it was a surprise that the Explanation of Benefits listed "Periodontal Disease" and "teeth cleaning" as the reasons for the surgery. Lo and behold, neither of those are covered. What a surprise. But wait, what's this? If you read the full list of covered items, damaged teeth due to an accident ARE covered. Hmmm. I wonder why they misinterpreted the veterinary notes then? Currently under appeal, but considering that the cost of coverage for each of our three pets went up double digits every year, and that getting a claim covered has proven to be a pain in the ass, we have elected to create our own version of a Health Savings Account for the pets rather than waste money on insurance that is proving to be useless. Thank you for nothing, Pets Best. I encourage others to give serious thought to pet insurance before committing. And to be careful with Pets Best, despite the other "positive" reviews here. Seems unlikely that people have only had good experiences with them, doesn't it? Does ANYONE truly love their insurance? Question it, I say.
