peace of mind

Taking good care of my dogs is expensive. I will do what it takes to get them the best care possible but it is always good to know that we will be reimbursed for much of what we spend. My dog has had many medical needs, to include major abdominal surgery, and the speed of service was amazing. This time around he only needed care for double ear infections but it was good to know that my claim would be processed quickly. The benefit booklet lays the coverage out easily and I knew for the most part, ahead of time, what would be covered. Once the deductible is covered, there have been no real problems getting our claims covered. The process to file a claim is amazingly simple and it is very easy to go online to check the claim status. Payment is usually fairly quick. I will keep this insurance for both dogs for as long as we have them.

Good pet insurance.

I have been a client now for 12 years. I have both of my chis. covered under this insurance. Your premiums are getting quite expensive. The reimbursement time (turn-around time) could be somewhat faster. However, you have provided good service.

Easy to submit and clear benefit responses

Nationwide Pet Insurance has been pretty easy to use; I added it to my VitusVet app and use that to submit. Claims are processed within a couple weeks and a check arrives in the mail. Making claims is easy although I am usually unsure of what will be paid back to me. I have both the Major Medical and the Wellness Plus Rider. The Wellness Plus covers a good value of her vaccinations/shots and her standard bloodwork, but covers very, very little of her heartworm/tick medicine (covers less than half the year of cost for heartgard and nexgard). I feel like I may just be breaking even on this portion of the plan. The Major Medical is a good piece of mind but I have, fortunately, not needed to utilize this part of the plan.

Why didn’t I find them sooner!

I love Figo! I am always recommending to friends and family. They are so quick with filing claims and their customer service is amazing; they’ll contact you next day if you couldn’t get ahold of anyone. They offer great plans and also give discounts to veterinary staff. My dog has allergies and everything has been covered.

Claim processed in record time, which made it very easy for us to focus the attention on Hunter getting the care he badly needed.

We are extremely happy with how fast and expedited the claim processing was handled for Hunter's recent hospital visit. The full process took less than 48 hours without any friction, allowing us to completely focus on Hunter's health and care. Thank you Nationwide!!!

Great Pet Plan Options & Swift Claim Processing!

Upon researching numerous pet health plans, it came down to ASCPA and Healthy Paws. We opted for ASCPA because it provided the most flexibility. We customized a plan that provides us both a safety net in the event of major medical problems and one that covered a significant portion of less significant costs, such as those occurring as a result of an accident or illness. Our plan has a $5k annual cap and $250 deductible that reimburses us 80% of the covered treatment, i.e., accidents, diseases, and illnesses. While iIt does not cover preventative service or neutering/spaying, you can get that coverage if you want. We didn't as we also wanted to keep our monthly subscription fee under $50, which we barely made. We got this plan when Rosa, our American bulldog, was about 2 months old. She's 14 months now. Boy are we glad we got it! We have filed 5 claims during this time and every one of them was processed within 2-4 weeks and approved. ASCPA even provided us more than we sought the last time. It's a great plan and the service is phenomenal. The absolutely only negative {a minor one at that} is that their online capability is limited in terms of what files you can attach to support your claim (application). I find myself having to take a cell pic of the vet bill and attaching it as a jpg file. Seems kind of archaic to me.

Recent claims processed as expected

The 2 recent claims were processed as expected. However, a previous claim was denied. I appealed the claim, but it was still denied. I don't agree with the decision. I am unsure if I will renew with Pets Best. I am looking at other options. I received my renewal, and I will make my decision before the due date.
