Trupanion without fail argues "prior condition" always - even when vet says otherwise
Buyer beware - Do NOT purchase Trupanion insurance. We have had it for two years now and they have covered next to nothing. Our dog just had a $5000 Lens Luxation surgery. She had had the same surgery in the other eye prior to Trupanion coverage. At the time we purchased Trupanion, the representative assured us that should a similar surgery be required in the other eye, it would be covered because the other eye does not represent a prior condition. Trupanion isn't paying a dime. Our vet is fighting on our behalf and says it 100% is not a prior condition. Do NOT get this "coverage" for your pet.

What will my first experience with TRUPANION be like?...
Enjoyed speaking to the woman who discussed the insurance plan with me...she was very knowledgeable and answered all of my questions.Since I signed up 2 days ago, I have had no experience with making claims. Sadly, my Bichon has a pre-existing allergic condition and it's an expensive condition!

You guys really do care. I've called several times lately so you know how difficult it's been for us. thank you so much for the card that came today. It was personalized just for our baby Rover with best wishes for healing vibes and lots of love. We put kibbles in the envelope so Rover could feel like it really was his card. That was very sweet and very sincere. Thank you!
