Initial claim needed reassessment, but issue resolved

This is the second time that there have been coding errors that have necessitated a bit of follow up, and a delay in reimbursement. When calling to follow up, the representative was very helpful, and there was no chasing after the initial call, everything was resolved.

The most dependable and reliable pet…

The most dependable and reliable pet insurance. My dog has been on Healthy Paw since he was a puppy and now 11 yrs old dealing with chronic conditions and they have been really good with reimbursements and I’ve never had any issues. Just grateful. And my new pup is also covered now with them.

Insurance is always a game once you figure it out. You’re good.

Once you figure out how to play the submission game, your claims get approved relatively easy. Every once in a while, I have an issue when they claim that they don’t like the way my vet invoices. I’m not sure what I’m supposed to do about that. But for routine things like flea and tick meds it’s very easy to get your reimbursement. I sometimes find it’s better to upload more than they need. The fact that my vet does not correspond with any insurance companies also makes it difficult because if MetLife calls, they will not speak to them. There’s definitely still some disconnect between the veterinary world and the insurance world, but hopefully it will continue to get better.

Absolutely terrible

Absolutely terrible. Over thousands in life saving expenses and despite max coverage and min deductible they only covered 1/4 of it. They write off claims as duplicate when they’re not, and make it as hard as possible to honor their contractual obligations for major medical events. Steer clear. If you ever really need medical coverage you’ll regret choosing them.

Not User Friendly

It’s a clunky and time - consuming process. I hate it and will not be using Pets Best again. Your claim numbers should reflect the claim amount. Your acknowledgment and follow up letters need more specificity.
