Even though initially the monthly premium seemed high, it’s been totally worth it as our puppy just had an accident and Trupanion covered the incident and follow up labs upfront, making a stressful situation much easier.

Pumpkin is the best investment I've made
Pumpkin is the best investment I could ever have made for my pet's health and well being. As a company the communication and review response time has consistently been first rate. The claims and estimate process is user friendly and easy to negotiate . Once a claims approved, the real time direct deposit payment to my bank account was nearly instantaneous. I've heartily recommended Pumpkin to all of our pet parent friends !

Would have given 5 stars however n 2025, I had my dachshund microchipped and MetLife didn’t pay for it. So I contacted customer service and they reviewed and I got payment. Also, wondered why my monthly premium jumped almost $25 after only 1 year of coverage and my dog is only 15 months old. Other than those 2 things I am happy.

My baby boy had to have emergency surgery and some things got crossed up with post-op deductibles and fees due to ER visits and customer service handle the issue immediately.

Heartless
Fetch Pet Insurance (formerly petplan) is such a heartless pet insurance company. They have this "benefit" where they reimburse you for lose of pet. They've already taken over a week to approve the claim for my dog's euthanasia along with all of the claims leading up to it that documents the illness causing his death. Unlike other per insurances that can put 2 and 2 together, they want you to go print out another form to fill out all of that information again, including getting it stamped from the vet. I thought I was done dealing with going back to the vet. They really want you to peel that scab. Absolutely horrendous and insensitive considering they already have all of the information and proof they needed from the prior claims. I also had to call to explain that my pet was dead in order to cancel the plan. Other per insurances automatically cancel after they approve your final claim that documents euthanasia. Stay away!
