A young healthy hound-mix might not look like she needs coverage, but a single 'dietary indiscretion' resulted in a holiday weekend in hospital plus several weeks' convalescence -- and a four-digit vet bill! The hospital kindly submitted my claim for me, and Nationwide remitted all but our modest deductible, direct-deposit to my bank even before my credit card statement arrived. This is why we insure! Very fast reimbursement
I have had my dog and Nationwide insurance for almost 3 years. We got our pup from a rescue and she was 1 1/2 years old at the time. Unfortunately she has had a lot of medical issues over that time including two expensive knee surgeries. Thanks to Nationwide I don't have to stress about the cost of her treatments. The coverage is the best and I get my money back very quickly. I have had no problems with the insurance and would recommend it to everyone.

Worth It!
I feel like some people are hesitant about getting dog insurance in the first place. I have had a few dogs and I can say they become your family and you want to do everything in your power to save them. Recently my almost-three-year-old dog somehow swallowed a foreign object and is the only way he was going to make it was surgery. The vets did an amazing job and saved his life and then Nationwide covered 90% of all his expenses. I was so thrilled I had insurance with Nationwide. Worth the money!
