We were with VPI Pet Insurance for years before it joined with Nationwide. We have had nothing but positive results with claims filed for each of our dogs. Most notably, when our Bernese Mountain Dog, Stella, needed special care, Nationwide was right there supporting us and helping us with the tough decisions that had to be made. Sawyer has also had some big issues and each time, Nationwide has been there for us. Nationwide has provided us the avenue to explore all medical options for our irreplaceable pets.

Best pet insurance ever.
Vets are expensive. Whether you’re going in for vaccinations, stool sample, medications... you name it — the bill can be ridiculous. With nationwide pet insurance, I don’t worry about those things anymore. When I feel my dog needs to see a vet, nationwide makes it easy to feel comfortable taking her in and not worrying about the bill. They make it ridiculously easy to submit a claim. All you do is send a copy of your receipt, receive a confirmation email that your claim has been submitted and in a few weeks you have a check in the mail. It’s so simple. I love my dogs pet insurance so much, I’m actually considering switching my auto and renters insurance over to nationwide. I had an extremely bad experience with State Farm and if nationwide is half as good at auto insurance as they are for pet insurance... sign me up. 10/10 would recommend.

Best Insurance Ever
Nicky Bella was a rescue whom we adopted 7 years ago. We previously had Nationwide for our previous rescue. Except for wellness visits, shots, etc, we really haven't had cause to use our insurance -- UNTIL the last few months when Nicky Bella developed major hind leg problem. We submit our invoice and receive full payment to our bank in less than a week - Usually 3 or 4 days. Couldn't ask for anything better, and not sure what we would do without this coverage now that Nicky Bella is aging and coming into some medical problems. Great Job!

Awesome pet insurance!
Super easy to navigate and super fast reimbursement. My pup was diagnosed with IBD and has had some expensive testing, imaging, and medication. Healthy Paws has paid all of my claims with no hassles. They even provide a personal touch and check in our your pet afterwards. I highly recommend!

Best decision ever!
I’m so thankful I made the decision to insure my pet through Pets Best. My 8 month old Shih Tzu puppy got an abrasion on his eye in early February. This abrasion quickly led to a corneal ulcer, which developed into a melting ulcer and led to a complete enoculation of the eye. Over the course of 5 days I had almost $2000 in vet visits, medicine and surgery costs. I quickly and easily uploaded a picture of each of my receipts on Pets Best website and within just a few short weeks I received reimbursement at 90% less my copay & deductible. I was able to make a tough decision easier knowing that Pets Best was there to help with the costs. Thank you for offering this service and I will be sure to tell all my pet owner friends about you! Great insurance company!
I have a 6 year old frenchie whose had several serious health issues since the age of 1. Without healthy paws, I’d be several thousands of dollars in debt trying to treat my baby. My annual deductible is almost always met within one vet visit, and I get reimbursed a majority of what I pay out after that. Their app is easy and quick to use when filing and checking on claims, and reimbursement comes within a reasonable amount of time. I highly recommend this pet insurance company!
