I was surprised that the same day as the vet visit, Trupanion has sent out a notice of our dogs coverage. We a happy to say there was no need for any follow up treatment.

Can’t recommend enough
After 7 years, my experience with Trupanion has never been anything short of spectacular! My claims are done SOO quickly that not even my vet can believe it! Took a while but worked
First claim for a particular disease took almost 2 months. Not before being denied because the primary vet (who did not even treat the condition at all) supposedly didn't send the initial history paperwork. Although they claim they did.
