I am beyond grateful and happy that I purchased Embrace Pet Insurance for my 2 Golden Retrievers!
I cannot express enough how happy I am with the prompt re-reimbursement AND the hassle free of submitting my claim and how much Embrace paid! The day of my dogs accident was the worst day of my life. I actually forgot that I even had pet insurance so when I was charged for the surgery and ICU overnight care, as much as I knew I was going to have to drain my savings I did not care because my dog was alive. When I had a chance to calm down, when my Cali was improving day by day, I then remembered I had pet insurance. Still I had no idea how easy the process was to get reimbursed and the amount was a HUGE burden off my shoulders. Thank you so much Embrace Pet insurance, I am def. going to tell ALL my pet owner friends that they HAVE to get a policy thru you!!

No Credibility whatsoever with this company
I've been paying them their premiums for 16 years and would highly recommend you shop elsewhere. They're the worst at paying claims but are masters of taking your premiums. You would think with a name like 'AKC Pet Insurance' that there would be a certain standard of excellence with their services but don't be fooled. They're borderline fraudulent and at the very least deceptive!! The latest, they "discontinued" our current plan of $85/mo for our little Oliver for the last 11 years and took it upon themselves to replace it WITHOUT MY WRITTEN CONFIRMATION with their most expensive plan at $299/month!!! That's $3600 a year for pet insurance!!!! I've been a little sidetracked this year for obvious reasons and actually just noticed this change on my CC statement yesterday. Called them and they claim they mailed me a notice of the change which maybe they did but I'm sure many people fell into this same trap of not thoroughly looking through every piece of small print mail. Of course if you don't respond they deem that as accepting the new terms and conditions and automatically roll you into the new plan. No email, no phone call to confirm I'm accepting a 300% increase!!!! This is a Deceptive Trade Practice and I hope everyone reads this!!

Best decision I ever made!
Elsie was a cattle dog/husky mix. When we found each other, I decided to buy medical insurance for her even though we had not insured either Frisky or Sheila. Sheila had been suddenly ill at the end and we could see that longer or more extensive medical needs would be costly. I never wanted to let finances dictate medical decisions for Elsie, so insurance seemed a smart choice, and I was right! Elsie developed an aggressive form of mast cell tumors in March 2019. She required three surgeries, followed by chemotherapy and other medications. In addition, there were frequent visits to both the vet and the oncologist. Without insurance, all of that would have eaten into our retirement funds and been a reason to forego needed treatment. With insurance we could do what we believed was right for Elsie, extending her life by months. As for quality of life, we had more good days than bad, and six days before she passed, we still enjoyed our walk together. Claims were always processed in a reasonable time frame and coverage was as promised, to the very end. After the final claim was processed, I received a call from customer service, expressing sympathy and asking how we were doing. Over and above anything I expected! If we ever bring ourselves to bring another dog into our hearts, we will once again invest in medical insurance for her.

My dog Aqua has suddenly been ill and we had to find her Veterinarian care for her discomfort. Starting with a visit to the ER a month ago and ending in a recent visit to a neurologist specialist . I am impressed with the easily filing process and the rapid reimbursement . During these time of pandemic it has been challenging to make ends meet. Adding Aqua's unexpected illness was not easy but Nationwide's quick processing helped us continue with her check up . Thank you for all you do .

Literally life-saving
On Apr 14, I picked up my beautiful new puppy. We had an incredible three weeks. And then he got very, very sick; I took him to the vet, which recommended I rush him to one ER, which then recommended we rush him to another ER with emergency dialysis capabilities. My little guy was clinging to life and only through 15 days in critical care was he able to recover from suspected leptospirosis. He had been too little to get the vaccine at his first vet visit; and he was just 10 days before his second visit where he would've gotten the vaccine for it when he got sick. The cost of his treatment was over $40,000 - beyond staggering. The only reason I was able to keep my guy alive was because of Embrace. Through the entire process, they comforted me when I called, they responded quickly to the early claims I was able to send, and when I sent the final big claim, that completely used up my annual policy in just two weeks, they cut me a check for the full amount in just a couple days. Having dealt with human insurance companies all my life, I was terrified that Embrace would try to get out of having to pay somehow - after all, I'd only sent them one monthly premium before asking them to pay out my entire policy. I had absolutely nothing to fear. Embrace covered every cent that they promised and they did it with a smile. Every single person at Embrace I talked to was genuinely comforting and empathetic with the nightmare I was going through. Many told me that they are pet owners too. I have recommended Embrace to everyone I know. It's the best investment I've ever made. I wish there was more than I could do for them than write them a positive review here because I'm just so impressed with them.
