We've trusted Trupanion for years
We've had Trupanion for years, for many pets, and I recommend them to everyone. They review claims so quickly that they often pay their portion to the vet before I can check out, lowering my bill before I even leave the office. We've never had any reason to fight them over anything because they pay when they're supposed to. Keep in mind that we insure our pets from infancy, so we've never had to deal with any "preexisting condition" limitations. Trupanion has always done right by us and our pets, from periodontal disease to cancer, and it's a wonderful relief to know that our pets will never be denied necessary care due to monetary concerns.

The copay and coverage was incredibly disappointing. I wasn't even aware that we had an obnoxious copay. $180 a month for two dogs with no issues for the last 4 years and they cover half of an emergency vet visit. Gross.

I have been a Healthy Paws client for many years. They are excellent ! Claims are processed efficiently and quickly and any phone conversation or email communication has been with a friendly and knowledgeable rep. I really like that the deductible is annual, not per incident and the amount of the deductible can be chosen.

Quick Processing & Payment After Surgery
I was nervous that my claim wouldn't be approved and paid quickly just because I've always had a bad experience with insurance (for humans). Having my claim processed within a week of our dog's surgery helped ease our stress, and let us put our attention toward getting her better. I'm forever grateful to Pet's Best for providing the coverage/care that we signed up for in an efficient and fair way.

I've used Trupanion through 2 dogs
I've used Trupanion through 2 dogs and they've always been prompt about paying claims. I would be cautious about what may be noted in the first visit though. My dog showed licking and pink legs, so itching was noted on his chart. It resolved and was probably just nerves from having a new home. Now, though, anything with an itching symptom gets excluded. Doesn't seem right.
