Honestly the staff have been really good with answering questions and everything has been pretty easy to handle.

The only thing I wish would be easier is not having to do reimbursement, but only pay the difference on a bill like health insurance for humans. I think this is something that a vet hospital has to do however, and understand if Trupanion cannot fix this. I also wish specialty visits (after a referral or other) was covered as it’s part of treatment. We need a consultation from a specialist we got referred to and it’s not even remotely covered but luckily the treatment is. I also absolutely love the deductible coverage as I didn’t expect it to be a lifetime illness coverage and not yearly. It will allow us to treat our pups hip dysplasia without worry about affordability.

From skeptical to grateful
I was skeptical about taking out insurance for our pet; but, the people at Trupanion have go out of their way to help me understand our coverage and submit our vet bills. Our pet insurance policy is not paying for itself, but it is way closer than I ever expected. This is our first time to have pet insurance for one of our pets, and the experience has been unexpectedly positive.

It’s so hard when your fur baby gets sick.
It’s so hard when your fur baby gets sick. You don’t need to have worries of how will we pay for this or deal with red tape or have to fight an insurance company to do what they had promised. My little angel has now had to have 3 major surgeries and having had Truepanion each time has been such a blessing! Each staff member that I had spoken with were so kind and helpful. They will help you with anything concerning your fur baby. During that time it’s stressful enough you need an insurance company that will do what they say. Each time the claim was finalized in just a few days. They always remember my little girls name too, who does that?!??
