Pre Existing Condition claim
I have always had pet insurance. This was an option through work. They easily take your money but when it comes down to a claim, they find a reason to not pay the claim. My dog tore her ACL and they denied her claim because they said it was a pre existing condition because she tore her ACL in her other leg years ago!!! I have filed a complaint with the Department of Insurance!

Pleasant Surprise!
We have had cats or dogs in the past but when aquired Meeko we decided to get the insurance due to problems with the last cat. That was the best investment we have done as it turns out our cat has bowel movement problems. The vet office suggesting to claim and see what happens as the bills were really high and hard to pay but we did. We were pleasantly surprised to see he was covered for quite a bit of stuff they used for him. So for paying each month it may add up but on the long run it was a small investment that came in very handy. Heather

Think again before buying pet insurance
My dog was in pain and limping. We have an open claim for this. Vet wasnât sure why so did a urinalysis for a UTI. This invoice was coded as a UTI and a new claim was opened. Dog does not have a UTI. Results were negative. N Ed to bring her back in for another X-ray. We are spending approximately $500 on each vet visit as she is I. Pain/limping but TruPanion keeps coding as a different injury or illness each time. Totally ridiculous. Would never purchased this vet insurance if I knew it was going to be like this.
