Overall experience

My overall experiences with Pets Best has been outstanding. The process of submitting a claim to receiving reimbursement is very easy, the explanations are straightforward and if I have a question I can call and discuss the issue with a live person who are always very helpful. I am very pleased with this pet insurance who has been providing coverage for my 2 pets."

Great experience

I am so thankful that we have insurance for my best friend and Pets Best has come through with reimbursement from claims quickly and efficiently each time. Let's hope this continues! I received one email for one of the claims asking for more information which I provided. Everything was handled as it should have from there. Thank you!

Pets best does exactly what it says it…

Pets best does exactly what it says it will do. The only reason I did not give it five stars is the annual premium increase is a little steep, and it does sometimes take a long time to actually get paid. However, I am really glad that I chose pets best for my little dog Betsy.

Monthly Cost

$6 and up, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

Accident and Illness plans with optional reimbursement levels of 70%, 80%, or 90% after the deductible. Flat Rate Accident coverage for $9/month for dogs and $6/month for cats. (Available in most states). Two optional Wellness plans to cover routine care. 24/7 Pet Helpline, powered by whiskerDocs is included on all policies. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill. Reimbursements are sent directly to CareCredit credit card when chosen as your default reimbursement method. Choose to have your eligible claim payment reimbursed directly back to your CareCredit card.

Payout Limits

$5000 -Unlimited annual limit, depending on your chosen plan. Unlimited lifetime limits.

Deductible

$50 – $1,000 annually.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 7 weeks old to enroll. Pets Best does not restrict coverage or availability for older pets.

Waiting Period

A waiting period refers to the amount of time after enrolling before your pet is eligible for coverage. Waiting periods vary by the type of coverage and start on the effective date of your policy. Once met, waiting periods are waived for continuous, uninterrupted policy renewals. Pets Best offers some of the shortest waiting periods in the industry following the policy effective date. Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Elective and preventive procedures are not covered.
