Sonnet | Pet Insurance Review

At the beginning Thy were amazing until they started to increasing each year the car and home premium. I call them and they told me its the market increase...Okay I can digest that however when my wife got a none-collision not at fault incident, They didn't care, didn't listen what i was saying and keep saying she was at fault! After fighting and trying to negotiate with them for many weeks and being over stressed, depressed, couldn't sleep and having nightmares, I decided to unfortunately go with what they wanted to do to close the case. Now my renewal came and they increased my car premium more than 50%!!! Try to talk to them and still don't care.... I can't take this anymore! I started to shop around.... PLEASE KEEP AWAY OF SONNET THEY ARE NOT AS THEY SAY THEY ARE! ***UPDATE TO THE REPLY FROM SONNET**** FYI: Where I live there is not much claims as you refer so It shouldn't increase that much...COME ON! OVER 50% INCREASE !!! THIS IS NOT RIGHT AND INSANE! ME AND MY WIFE ALWAYS HAD A CLEAN RECORD OUR WHOLE LIFE AND NOW YOU GUYS RUINED IT FOR 6 YRS BECAUSE YOU SCAM PEOPLE BY PUTTING THEM AT FAULT WHEN THEY WERE NOT SO YOU CAN INCREASE THEIR PREMIUM TO SUCK OUR MONEY! I am not going to listen to you whole bunch of excuses has all your other staff do when I call them, this is a very poor response! If i was you, I would Start reviewing everything closely in my file to reconsider everything that happen because I already found a few reputable companies that beats yours right now of 300$ a month less of what you want to charge me. Also i shouldn't be the one chasing you......I never complaint on social media but SONNET really trigger my button to do it and I'll keep posting to let know people the reality of SONNET.

I have had Sonnet for just over a year now. When I did need to make changes to my policy, it was relatively painless. I needed to call to have a driver removed and the person I spoke to was very professional and helpful. We spoke on the phone for about 10 minutes and everything sorted out.

So I bought a new vehicle in April and I’ve be waiting for my new pink cards in the mail ever since I’ve called and requested them in June and still have not received them

It was super simple to get a quote and to access a discount if it applies (ie Alberta Teachers) Sonnet was by far the most cost effective insurance and was super easy to set up and purchase.

BUYER BEWARE! Over the course of several phone calls we were denied our right to escalate a situation involving fees which were charged without our knowledge (long story short, we found an overcharge by looking at credit card statements and were then threatened and yelled at repeatedly) and as a cherry on top, they had an issues processing payments and blamed us for their problems (literally didn't charge our paypal and forced us to switch to credit card payments) which nearly got our insurance cancelled. In general they were not easy to deal with over the phone nor was the information available on their website clear. I will never be a Sonnet Customer again, it is far far more worthwhile to have a local broker as we saved over hundred dollars a month (about 1300$ a year) by contacting a local broker. To add insult to injury despite cancelling our Auto Policy literally the first day they would not charge a fee to do so, we have been sent new pink slips and a "thank you for your renewal" letter. Clearly their systems are highly flawed.
