Clearly the best!

Responsive, helpful, compassionate. A helpful rep walked me through the claims process the first time; after that it was easy, and I am 75 years old with limited tech skills. Payments are sent quickly, and fully explained. Way better than other pet insurance I have had. Highly recommend

Generally great with their customers

Pets Best has never disappointed me. I have had a difficult time understanding “incomplete” claims which has led to some frustration, and at one point I had to contact the actual Customer Support team and that was tough. They don’t have great working hours (at least in comparison to my schedule!) so it was really hard to reach them. Once I did though, they resolved the issue beautifully and have never given me unreasonable trouble with any of my claims.

Emergency Vet visit while on vacation

While on vacation, our puppy ate something in the backyard that caused her to vomit. She was very restless and wobbly, and when we called the local vets, they advised us to take her to the Emergency Vet because they were all about to close within the half hour. We drove 35 miles to take her to the Emergency vet. They addressed the issues and she was up and back on her feet very shortly after we arrived. They provided me with an itemized bill that I was able to submit directly to Pets Best and within 10 days the claim was approved and paid.

Monthly Cost

$6 and up, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

Accident and Illness plans with optional reimbursement levels of 70%, 80%, or 90% after the deductible. Flat Rate Accident coverage for $9/month for dogs and $6/month for cats. (Available in most states). Two optional Wellness plans to cover routine care. 24/7 Pet Helpline, powered by whiskerDocs is included on all policies. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill. Reimbursements are sent directly to CareCredit credit card when chosen as your default reimbursement method. Choose to have your eligible claim payment reimbursed directly back to your CareCredit card.

Payout Limits

$5000 -Unlimited annual limit, depending on your chosen plan. Unlimited lifetime limits.

Deductible

$50 – $1,000 annually.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 7 weeks old to enroll. Pets Best does not restrict coverage or availability for older pets.

Waiting Period

A waiting period refers to the amount of time after enrolling before your pet is eligible for coverage. Waiting periods vary by the type of coverage and start on the effective date of your policy. Once met, waiting periods are waived for continuous, uninterrupted policy renewals. Pets Best offers some of the shortest waiting periods in the industry following the policy effective date. Get a quote for specific information on waiting periods in your state.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Elective and preventive procedures are not covered.
