Cruciate tear claim experience

Iam so grateful to have found this insurance, it has made a great difference in my dog's quality of life and has been a relief to make an otherwise stressful time for our family much easier to deal with. We were not expecting to deal with an expensive surgery for him so soon, we had went through other costly health issues with older dogs which led to our buying insurance this time around. The claims process was easy to work with and a big help, thank you!

Highly recommend

Our pug was diagnosed with MCTs. Once we’d met the deductible Pets Best were quick to process and reimburse the claims. Cannot complain!

Highly Recommend

I switched to Pets Best about 3 years ago and one of my dogs has had the worst luck medically. They've covered IVDD surgery, hydrotherapy and laser therapy after that for healing. They've covered a misdiagnosis of a terminally ill brain disease and all the tests and specialists that came with that and now his more recent dx of cushings disease and the tests, meds and vet visits that are required monthly for that. If I didn't have the security of pet insurance, I would have had to rethink treatment many times for my boy and who knows if he'd even be alive today because of that! These guys have been amazing throughout the years and being someone who doesn't have a lot of money and not much in my savings account, I don't have to question whether or not I can treat my dog due to the security of this insurance. I HIGHLY recommend them 💞💞"

My 70 lb, 1 and 1/2 yr old needed CCL surgery. Thank goodness I had taken out Pets Best insurance for him. They paid right away!! 80% of my bill, no issues. Sent to care credit account!!! Awesome Experience!!

Monthly Cost

$6 and up, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

Accident and Illness plans with optional reimbursement levels of 70%, 80%, or 90% after the deductible. Flat Rate Accident coverage for $9/month for dogs and $6/month for cats. (Available in most states). Two optional Wellness plans to cover routine care. 24/7 Pet Helpline, powered by whiskerDocs is included on all policies. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill. Reimbursements are sent directly to CareCredit credit card when chosen as your default reimbursement method. Choose to have your eligible claim payment reimbursed directly back to your CareCredit card.

Payout Limits

$5000 -Unlimited annual limit, depending on your chosen plan. Unlimited lifetime limits.

Deductible

$50 – $1,000 annually.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 7 weeks old to enroll. Pets Best does not restrict coverage or availability for older pets.

Waiting Period

A waiting period refers to the amount of time after enrolling before your pet is eligible for coverage. Waiting periods vary by the type of coverage and start on the effective date of your policy. Once met, waiting periods are waived for continuous, uninterrupted policy renewals. Pets Best offers some of the shortest waiting periods in the industry following the policy effective date. Get a quote for specific information on waiting periods in your state.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Elective and preventive procedures are not covered.
