Have had renters insurance with them for years, and no hassles. Haven’t had to make a claim, so can’t speak to that… hopefully never will! Minus 1 star for a 100%+ increase after first year without changing any details, but since then minor annual increases.

The application was easy to use and quick work to set up. Trying to change in payment was a little difficult but was accomplished.

I went online to see what adding another driver to my plan would do to my premiums. Before I had a chance to approve the changes officially, Sonnet cancelled my insurance altogether because I accidentally input the wrong licence number for the new driver. To fix this, I was told I had to request a driving abstract from the government for the other driver and send it to their underwriting department. Turns out an abstract costs money! When I said paying out-of-pocket to rectify a mistake that I hadn't even accepted online was wild, I was basically encouraged to get coverage from another company as this was the only way to avoid the abstract fee. Beyond frustrating, so beware: don't play around with your policy online if you're prone to typing in numbers wrong! As an aside, I've so far received three quotes from other insurers that are significantly cheaper than my Sonnet premiums.
