We’ve used MetLife Pet insurance twice and it was a great experience . Very easy to send in your claim and we heard back very quickly . So happy we choose MetLife Pet.

Claims and response needs work
There are some things to like but the process of filling claims and the claim being reviewed needs some help.
I've had over 5 claims just dissappear with no notice. When I called they were closed due to missing information. Why was I not given a chance to provide it? Other claims I was sent an email letting me know what was missing. Most of those were also due to the loss of a pet. It really sucks to have to refile claims multiple times. There should be options on what type of claim you are filing. Accident or mortality. All claim forms should be easily available. I wasn't even aware there was a separate form until I spoke with a very nice gentleman. I wasn't walked through the refund of the adoption fee. I had to ask. Soaking of. Taking 20% off that should be noted in the explanation. I didn't think that separate benefit was paid out at 80%. The policy just states you will be reimbursed the adoption fee.
I also spoke to a customer service supervisor after asking for one, who while polite enough, was not listening well and just kept repeating the same thing and then told me she hoped my pet and I had a nice day. She's dead which was the basis of the conversation.
