My Maverick was struck by a vehicle today. The staff here are absolutely amazing! 10/10 would highly recommend for any of your pets emergency needs. They made us feel right at home.

VEG and the entire team there were absolutely top-notch. 10/10, A+++. Not only did they treat my sweet Slugger with the utmost compassion, dignity, and respect, but they treated me with that same level of care throughout the entire experience. I was able to stay by Slugger’s side through his entire treatment, and that meant more to me than words could ever express. They even provide beds for you to rest in while you’re there, and make sure your room stays clean if any messes happen. It’s the little things like that that show just how much they truly care about both their patients and their families. They did absolutely everything they could to save my boy, and I will forever be grateful for that. Unfortunately, I had to say goodbye to Slugger on October 9th, and my heart has been completely shattered ever since. He was my soul dog, my shadow, and such a huge part of my life. As heartbreaking as it was to lose him, I find some peace in knowing that we did everything we possibly could for him and that he was surrounded by love every step of the way. I truly cannot thank VEG enough for everything they did for us. From the very bottom of my heart, thank you. Every single nurse and doctor I encountered was absolutely incredible. They showed us so much kindness, compassion, and understanding during one of the most devastating experiences of my life. I honestly cannot say enough good things about this team. When you’re facing the possibility of losing your best friend, you need people who will treat them like family and treat you with compassion when your world is falling apart. That is exactly what VEG did for us. I will forever be grateful to every single person who cared for my Slugger and helped us through those difficult days. Thank you for doing everything you could for my boy and for taking such wonderful care of both of us when we needed it most.

I was thoroughly impressed with all of the staff! Attentive, caring, professional and thoughful, they will go the extra mile to try to ensure that your fur babies medical needs are met. If you call ahead, they will text you a link to fill out the information before you get there. Need a drink or a snack? They will get it for you. Need some privacy? Done. Want to stay with your pet? They have rooms with a bed to rest, if needed. They truly left no stone unturned! I hope they will become the leader in what is expected out of an emergency hospital! Even though the outcome wasn't what we were hoping for, they gave us all the time we needed to make an informed decision. Very compassionate. They have comfort rooms and a memory book you can write something to leave in memory of your baby. If I ever need emergency care for any of my fur babies in the future, VEG will be the place we will go! OUTSTANDING service!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Thank you VEG for the experience!!

From the moment we walked in the door, we were greeted with compassion, understanding, and support! The atmosphere is very relaxing and cozy, not hospital like! Which is very helpful in an already stressful situation! You can tell the techs and vets care about the animals and their owners! Would highly recommend!

So so amazing! I brought my dog Blu in for a wound bandage change and subsequent stitch-up of the wound. Dr. Kearney, Dr. Price and all of the vet techs are kind, empathetic, explain everything well and truly make every patient feel valued and cared for despite working in a super crazy and stressful environment! They make running a chaotic and unpredictable ER look easy and seamless. I’m so thankful I found VEG Louisville, thank you thank you thank you to all of the staff for your work!!
