We moved to Louisville from South Florida nearly four years ago and our number one priority was finding the right place to take care of our furkids to. Our Louisville friends recommended Elk Creek Animal Hospital and I'm so glad that they did because we love it . The staff is great and Dr Bennett ,who has taken care of both of our babies,is incredible!! He is very empathetic and compassionate with our pitties when they visit . Our Louie boy had to have a histiocytoma removed not long after we moved and my other sweet pittie girl,Coco, recently had a nasty scab on her nose that wasn't going away so we brought her in to see Dr Bennett to take a look at it. Both of our pitties are doing great now thanks to his talents . He has a perfect balance between his love and compassion for animals and professionalism. We couldn't be happier to have found him and a wonderful staff that makes us feel like family when we come in. Thanks to all for all your hard work to make this such a wonderful place ❤️

Excellent Veterinarian Review I can’t say enough wonderful things about this veterinarian and their entire team! They are compassionate, knowledgeable, professional, and genuinely caring. They took the time to listen, explain everything clearly, and made sure my pet received the very best care. It’s obvious that they truly love animals and treat every patient as if they were their own. I felt comfortable and confident knowing my pet was in such capable hands. The staff was also friendly, attentive, and helpful throughout the entire experience. I highly recommend this veterinarian to anyone looking for a doctor who combines excellent medical care with genuine compassion. Five stars without hesitation!

Took 2 dogs for wellness check and heartworm test and one got annual shots. They were kind, prompt, understanding and took great care of our pups. They take Care Credit and offered rebates on the preventative medication we bought. We couldn't have asked for a better experience.

I had been searching for a new vet clinic for my special needs/behavior Jack Russel. After endless hours of online searching and reading tons of reviews, following up on personal recommendations and visiting clinics, I had my first appointment with Elk Creek Hikes Point. Kudos to all staff, from the friendly ladies at the desk to the technicians, and most of all to Dr. Dowd. It can be very stressful not only for the pet, but also for the owner if anxiety based behaviors make a vet visit almost impossible. Everyone was very understanding and accommodating. Staff brought a muzzle out to the car, the clinic was empty, no other pets visiting at the same time. I was able to stay with my little guy the entire time and discuss his history and treatment options in detail. Dr. Dowd was very easygoing, took her time, and explained everything well during the exam. Pricing was very competitive, upfront information with no upselling of services as it is the practice at so many other clinics in town, unfortunately. Thank you all again, we have found our new vet care team!

Great people. They took care of my new working dog exceptionally well. Everyone was very friendly and knowledgeable and the prices are very reasonable. I would not hesitate to recommend this vet to anyone. Thank you guys for taking such good care of Ember. :)
