Sonnet | Pet Insurance Review

I was insured with you guys and apparently a payment was missed because the direct deposit payment info and date wasn't updated. this caused issues with other insurance companies as they assumed i legitimately missed insurance payments... My Policy was cancelled and I was told I had a credit. Giving sonnet another chance. paid insurance in full for a year to see how I'm going to be treated. Hopefully will get a decent rate after paying 1500$ out of pocket as up front cost.

Fast not easy lol

I had the front left tire come of my car at 80kms an hour. This event was covered under comprehensive. My experience with Sonnet was very good with the possible exception of the claims agent that I was assigned. My 30 day rental ran out because of a problem getting parts. You don't usually have to change the backing plate during the life of the car. I was told that an extension for the rental was approved but was never told nor informed when it would expire. The extension was only for 4 days but I did not know. At any rate I ended up needing the rental for 47 days. To shorten the story, Sonnet covered the 17 day overrun once I escalated beyond the claims agent. I am a retired guy on a fixed income and not having to pay the overrun was relief. Overall I would recommend Sonnet. But remember to advocate for yourself. No one else will.

STAY CLEAR! Got good rates from them for the first year and just like many others on here, the 2nd year they almost doubled the rates for NO REASON (no claims). I cancelled by policies a month before my renewal and they still took payments out of my account the day the policies were set to cancel and I was told it would not be refunded for 3 WEEKS! Plus, they are only open to contact them Monday to Friday!!! What insurance company is not available on weekends? Do yourself a favor and do not fall for the low first year rate scam they have going here. I ignored the previous reviews about this and got burned by it. Stay where you are or go with ANY other company! *EDIT* I already did chat with the rep and always basically told “oh well, that’s how it is”. You having a bot that gives generic replies to customers reviews basically tells all about everything people are saying.
