Saved my puppies leg health

"I got a Pets best policy shortly after getting a puppy (our first). I shopped extensively hoping to get a high quality policy that would never put me in a position to choose between money and my pets wellbeing. This came sooner than we thought. Around her first birthday she started limping. Months later we were facing a damaged growth plate and incorrectly grown foot. We have access to great care here and that comes at a cost. I consistently thought pets best would say "too much or this is not needed" but every claim I needed for getting her issue fixed with the best level of care pets best came through. As a result she should be 100% healthy once she is done healing.

Aging pets have special needs

As our Marley ages (now 13) she's had recent TPLO surgery and a more recent struggle with her vision and walking and a malfunctioning tracheal "flap". Because of a recent DX of PVCs, she's no longer a good candidate for anesthesia so we are left with treating her how and as we can. Eye ointment, pain meds, cough medicine for when the trachea issue causes problems, etc. PetsBest makes submitting her claims easy and their EOB is always thorough and to me, easily understood. Payment is almost always within 7-10 days. They make altering your premiums based on your deductible and other needs so easy!

Would Shout About Pet’s Best from the Rooftops. (But that might be trespassing?)

Pet’s Best is absolutely wonderful to work with. From routine exams to an unexpected knee surgery, the sometime stresses of caring for my best boy have never come from Pet’s Best. They have reviewed, processed, and turned around claims timely and with fantastic clarity. I often remark to my husband: “I wish human insurance was as easy and reliable as our dog’s.” Perhaps, sad— but totally true. This insurance is worth every penny. —And if Pet’s Best ever needs a real life testimonial for a commercial, I’m down in heartbeat.

Monthly Cost

$6 and up, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

Accident and Illness plans with optional reimbursement levels of 70%, 80%, or 90% after the deductible. Flat Rate Accident coverage for $9/month for dogs and $6/month for cats. (Available in most states). Two optional Wellness plans to cover routine care. 24/7 Pet Helpline, powered by whiskerDocs is included on all policies. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill. Reimbursements are sent directly to CareCredit credit card when chosen as your default reimbursement method. Choose to have your eligible claim payment reimbursed directly back to your CareCredit card.

Payout Limits

$5000 -Unlimited annual limit, depending on your chosen plan. Unlimited lifetime limits.

Deductible

$50 – $1,000 annually.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 7 weeks old to enroll. Pets Best does not restrict coverage or availability for older pets.

Waiting Period

A waiting period refers to the amount of time after enrolling before your pet is eligible for coverage. Waiting periods vary by the type of coverage and start on the effective date of your policy. Once met, waiting periods are waived for continuous, uninterrupted policy renewals. Pets Best offers some of the shortest waiting periods in the industry following the policy effective date. Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Elective and preventive procedures are not covered.
