Savings for Elmo!

Elmo has always had periodontal issues, I have been so lucky to have nationwide pet insurance. I don't worry about taking him in for dental cleaning. His last visit required 2 extractions and those were covered as well. He receives care from a reputable vet here in town and I know that he's getting the best care because I have the best pet insurance.

claim review very slow

I am pleased with our coverage of Nicholas. However, no claims for Sophie have been processed. I received request for one year records for Sophie, which I provided. This last week, we got a letter stating that an additional 30 days was needed, which was very disappointing.

No complaints. Most of the vet bills covered for injury until maxed out for year.

Signing up for Nationwide Pet Insurance 14 years ago was one of the best things I ever did for my furkids.

As I mentioned above, signing up for Nationwide Pet Insurance 14 years ago was one of the best things I ever did for my furkids. I volunteer for a local rescue and suggest it to everyone. I always tell them that the 3 best things they can do for their pets is 1) get pet insurance, 2) enroll in puppy/obedience classes and 3) feed high quality dog food. I have full coverage and the monthly premium is worth the coverage of preventative care but the peace of mind that comes with knowing that I can easily take care of any medical needs my dogs have is one of the best feelings in the world. Thank you for everything.

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
