Nationwide | Pet Insurance Review

We researched everything before we purchased our Labrador puppy so we felt happy we had a good sound dog. We didn't count on her swallowing a milk frother which had to be surgically removed, nor did we know a dog could get meningitis and have to be hospitalized, nor did we know we had mushrooms on our 2 l/3 acres that she would eat and become so ill we had to rush her to an emergency hospital. Of course there were numerous bladder infections. Having a puppy has been a real challenge, but thanks to Nationwide Insurance we have faced every medical issue and conquered each one. We plan to have a very large first birthday party for her in a couple months and if we could, we would invite all the Nationwide people to come since they helped us keep her healthy her first year!! Nationwide really is on your side!!

Nationwide pet insurance offered us the level of care we were looking for with our pup - which was not only to be covered in times of illness and emergency, but also to help us cover the preventative expenses like flea and tick control and vaccinations, which can really add up over the course of a year and which are imperative to proper pet health care. Our goal is that our boy should not get sick or hurt in the first place if we are doing our best as pet-parents, and so we really do enjoy the benefits of the 'whole pet with wellness' plan. And of course, it gives us great peace of mind that when illness and emergnecy does come knocking, Nationwide will be there to see us through that as well. We have always had a very smooth claims process and received a competitive reimbursement in a short time frame. We have been happy customers and will definitely be renewing our dog's care plan this year

The amount was much more than what we thought would be paid out. Unfortunately to keep the cost down for the policy we have a higher deductible. Like anything else the insurance is needed based on the cost for care. its just amazing how the cost for pet care can be so high. Nationwide does take awhile for claims. But as stated the amount paid out was a surprise.

You have been very good at paying Daisy’s claims. I recommend you to doggie friends all the time!!!
