Very good support for major surgery!
Nationwide provided very good support for a major surgery. Our dog had two herniated disks and needed back surgery. The vet said that if we hadn't done the surgery, she probably would have become paralyzed. Having Nationwide Insurance helped us to make our decision knowing that the majority of the cost would be covered by insurance, and allowed us to make the best decision for our dog's well being. The surgery was a success and our little dachsund has made a full recovery.

Kudos to Nationwide!
Nationwide has continued to provide efficient, timely and courteous care to my pet issues for over 3 years. I can always call a customer service rep and get someone on the line quickly to answer my questions and guide me through any decisions that need to be made for Guideaux's coverage. I appreciate the staff and choices of policies that meet our needs. thank you.

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage.
The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees.
All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.
Payout Limits
Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances.
There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.
Deductible
Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000.
Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.
Age Limits
No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Waiting Period
14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.
Exclusions
Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months).
Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
