Embrace | Pet Insurance Review

It's hard to know if this is a good insurance company to work with because I never made a claim. However, when I signed up two years ago, the monthly rate seemed very reasonable, but the following year upon renewal the rate went up by 30%. This year it is about to go up again an extra 50% of the new higher price so it will be almost twice the original price. My animals are very healthy and I haven't made any claims. When I called I was told it is because my animals are getting older. I did the math and if the premiums keep going up even at the 30% rate per year, if I open up a savings account and put that amount of money away each month, in 4 years I will have a few dollars shy of $10,000 saved up to take care of my animals without having to worry about dealing with an insurance company and paying deductibles and percentages, so that's what I am going to do.

I resent being forced to write a review every time I submit a claim. One star was deducted. I hope someone at Embrace reads this. Actually you do. The “review” covers up the submit button. And doesn’t uncover until a review is done.

We have had some real issues with both our dogs health. Diabetes and cataracts (yes for both!) and now one has lost her sight and the other has cancer. Embrace has been great about covering things we submit and getting us reimbursed quickly. They are also great when I have follow-up questions and wonder about things or accidentally submit things twice (my brain is fried with all these health issues). I am happy and I love more dogs because they are my children!
