All in all very good

All in all, Embrace Pet Insurance is easy to deal with, processes claims quickly, and deposits directly to your bank in a timely manner. (after the 1st claim)

Is Rejection of initial claim submission normal?

It seems the "Playbook" instructs claim processors to reject for any reason. i.e., I sent only the part of an invoice that was for my dog. They didn't need the cat's records. Then I sent the entire document. A week later, my dog is still suffering from UTI and I submitted the ENTIRE invoice for the recheck and urinalysis. I got an email asking for the complete invoice so I sent it again. I get online and the status is pending more information so I submitted it again.

Review: My Embrace Pet Ins

I'm grateful that we have not had to use this insurance often, but it brings peace of mind knowing that if something serious were to happen to our dogs, we would not be faced with overwhelming costs. On the rare occasion that I do submit a claim(s), the reimbursement process was quick and easy and very user friendly. Thank you for making it simple.

First of all I have 2 claims on hold…

First of all I have 2 claims on hold for a month even though my vet said they sent medical Hx for over a week now. Secondly they were trying to contact a vet I don't use for over 3 years. When they claim team said they need medical Hx for the past year . I have sent many emails and no answer. Costumer services is getting worse and worse. Considering moving to another insurance because there is no communication at all.

Monthly Cost

$13 – $100, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

You have a co-pay of 10%, 20% or 30% after your deductible, depending on your chosen plan. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.

Payout Limits

Annual limit of $2000, $5000, $10,000 or $15,000.

Deductible

Annual deductible options from $100 – $1,000.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 6 weeks old to enroll. New pets over 14 are eligible for accident-only coverage. Once enrolled, pets can stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

There is a two-week illness waiting period, which begins on your policies’ effective date. Orthopedic conditions have additional Waiting or exclusion periods that vary by state.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Hereditary and congenital conditions are covered if they have not been diagnosed or suspected before the policy becomes active. Main plan covers alternative treatments such as chiropractic, acupuncture and homeopathic when provided by a licensed veterinarian. Optional wellness and prescription drug plans are available for an additional cost.
