horrible coverage

Update. Today they response to bad review. To call them... that tells you how bad they are. they check for reviews but dont process claims. They dont seem to read either.. when you write they dont answer or return phone calls ... they ask me to call them... why ? so they wont answer again nor call you back. Dont use this company.... horrible coverage. do not use them. they dont process claims. they don't answer emails, they don't answer phone calls. they take your monthly premium and provide NO SERVICE. I am canceling. DO not Trust them. despite the implied good ASPCA name

Won't give me back us money for claims…

Won't give me back us money for claims and they are rude and hang up frequently. They don't call back and are not knowledgeable DONT GET THEM get healthy paws pet insurance

I was hoping I could use it to cover…

I was hoping I could use it to cover the medical bills of when I took Bora (my cat) to the vet last Monday but then it came that the insurance would only start working until Dec 15th. It feels like a bait if you don't say out front when the insurance will start working, now I've an insane bill to cover (she caught a respiratory infection that thank god she is 90% out of it) _AND_ also covering the insurance.

Their services have declined

Their services have declined. I've been a member for years, I'm on week six of waiting for my claim, was just told by customer service to "give it another week or so", it's time to shop around for other insurance. It should not take this long to reimburse customers who pay on time, every single month.

Monthly Cost

Rates start at: $10 (for accident only), $16 (Complete Coverage). Rates vary based on species, age, breed, and location.

Coverage

The pay-out amount is based on the actual vet bill, at a rate pre-selected by the customer: 90%, 80% or 70%

Payout Limits

Annual limits can be set by the customer, ranging from $2,500 to $20,000, including an unlimited option. No lifetime limits.

Deductible

$100, $250 or $500 annually.

Age Limits

No upper age limits. Pets must be at least 8 weeks old to enroll.

Waiting Period

There are no waiting periods for preventive care. Coverage begins 14 days after date listed on policy for accidents, illnesses, and knee/ligament conditions.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions, cosmetic procedures and breeding costs are not covered. ASPCA Pet Health Insurance has two Preventive Care plans that can be added to help cover a pet’s wellness care, including annual exams, vaccinations, tests, dental cleanings and flea/heartworm preventive. Preventive Care plans reimburse up to a set amount for each listed treatment. If your pet exhibited symptoms of a knee and ligament condition at any time, prior to enrollment or during a waiting period, all ligament and knee conditions will be excluded. Ligament and Knee are conditions involving a ligament, patella, meniscus or soft tissue disorder of the knee. Accident-Only coverage available.
