How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Texas Animal Medical Center

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

Dr. Aaron Lide, and staff are very kind and gentle with their patients. I seldom do reviews but these people go out of their way to handle “pets” like little people, and they seem to communicate a calmness almost immediately. Whenever we leave, we have an accurate diagnosis and an understanding of how to prevent any future problems. This is so much more than just a little place for an annual shot, this is a great resource for caring for part of our family that we love so much.

When my goldendoodle needed her CCL repaired, we took her to Dr. Lide. He did an excellent job on the surgery at nearly half the price I was quoted elsewhere. The whole process was smooth and painless. I would wholeheartedly recommend him for the operation.

This veterinary clinic and its staff are the best veterinary clinic that I have been to yet since moving here. Dr. Huffman, Dr. Baggett, Vet Tech Morgan, Vet Tech Rachel, and everyone that works at this clinic genuinely cared about my Great Pyrenees pups, Moose and Olaf. Also, this clinic is highly affordable for amazing care of your pets. :)

Really kind people. It’s always so stressful having a pet in an emergency situation. Our toy poodle was attacked and the vet was super careful and communicated each decision. It’s always pricey, it’s always after hours and it’s never really a positive experience but a polite and honest professional really helps. So grateful!

I have found the Texas Animal Medical Clinic for the past four years to be consistently efficient, friendly and helpful for my two dogs in good times and through illnesses. I also board them there when on vacation. Dr Lide has taken great care of my pets and they are in good health throughout the years. I greatly appreciate their service and support in difficult times as well as the easy days.
