Dr. Keil is great. He’s been taking care of my dogs and cats for close to 30 years. Some of the reviews say that he’s rude. He has never been rude to me or any of my family. He’s a straight shooter, but that’s a good characteristic in my opinion. I like how he doesn’t sugar coat the information he gives me. His entire staff is great. I can tell they all love what they do. I’m worried of where I might have to go if/when he retires. Thanks to Dr. Keil and the entire staff!

I’ve taken my dogs and cat to Dr. Keil for many years. His office on New Dallas Hwy isn’t one of those flashy, new buildings full of sales talk—it’s a place focused on true veterinary care. You won’t find gimmicks here; what you will find is the best veterinary care I’ve ever received, from a doctor and staff who genuinely care about animals. Dr. Keil is a quiet, thoughtful man with a calm presence and a slight smile, but behind that is decades of experience and deep knowledge. I believe he finished veterinary school in the 1970s, and it shows in how confidently and carefully he treats animals. Just today, I called with a very sick dog, and they got me in immediately. The staff was ready for us as soon as we arrived. While Dr. Keil reviewed the notes from an overpriced emergency clinic, his team got to work right away. After a thorough exam, he prescribed the right medication and gave clear instructions. You can tell that his focus is 100% on the animals—not on upselling or guessing at costs. If you want someone who’s straightforward, honest, and truly skilled, this is your place. I don’t usually write reviews, but I’m writing this because I sincerely trust Dr. Keil. He’s an exceptional veterinarian who provides fair, compassionate, and expert care—without the BS.

Never again women in front was nice. The vet didn't even look at my dog just gave him medicine and it wasn't wrong with him an sent him on his way 8hrs later my dog still in pain had to take him to the er vet clinic never again for this place was a waste of money. La vega vet is a good place.
