I came here with my small Chiweenie, 8 pound dog for a dental cleaning and extractions. The surgery went well. The doctor called me and gave me some information once the surgery was complete and Zoe seems to be healing up fine it’s been two weeks. We just had her two week follow up today. She still has stitches that will dissolve on their own but nothing in her mouth is still open. It’s all healed. She had 12 teeth polled seven easily popped out like plucking eyebrows, but five needed to be cut into the bone to remove the roots, so it was a pretty serious surgery. I paid for the membership that included pre-dental cleaning x-rays and bloodwork and all of that but extractions were not included so the time of the visit I did have to pay almost $1200 out of pocket. All in all I’m satisfied because they took care of my little dog and she seems very healthy now, but I didn’t give them five stars because at no point did they give me a quote I had to ask the morning of if there would be any out of pocket so you can imagine my surprise of hearing it was gonna cost about $1200 on top of the membership and besides that every time three times as of today I’ve taken Zoe not once have they taken me into a room to have a private conversation or to allow me to meet any of the doctors or see them exam Zoe, which I found to be very uncomfortable. I’ve never gone to a vet for anything that I didn’t get to meet the physician in person and that every time we’re there they just take care of us right there in the lobby area instead of taking us into a room for privacy. If those few things change for future visits, I will gladly edit my review and get five stars.

Would give 0 stars if I could.. the wellness memberships are a joke, you HAVE to have one for your pet to be seen at this vet. Not only that but it’s non refundable if you add on a service that you don’t get within the year of the membership. Oh and if you don’t cancel within the year, it’ll renew and you have to pay for the whole year even if you don’t want to take your pet there anymore. ALSO if you don’t have an appointment they won’t see you at all. The staff is rude and unprofessional. In one of my visits an older lady who couldn’t speak English came up to the counter and tried her best to talk to the receptionist but couldn’t so I got up and translated the best I could.. the receptionist wasn’t having it, giving me the most disgusting gestures and making the loudest “ugh” noises. They have no patience and speak about your pet’s information VERY loudly instead of pulling you aside and having a normal quiet conversation. I’ve read many reviews on other locations within Oregon and they say the same things.. money hungry company, rude unprofessional staff, and they really don’t care about your pet.

Overall they’ve been taking good care of our animals. The weakest spots are their scheduling and follow up. We’ve had 3 separate occasions out of 5 where we schedule an appointment a month in advance, only to show up and be told it was a different day, or a completely different time that we wouldn’t have scheduled due to our work schedules. I’m not sure if they modify schedules after they’re already set, but it’s very weird how consistently it happens. Good vets and techs, just weaker at the communication and front desk.

Worst Banfield hospital, I have been to in 12 yrs. I felt they were money hungry. They paid more attention to other concerns, not the major concern I walked into the office to be seen. Gone 2 times, the 1st time I got seen right away, got my dog handed back to me and sat there for 45 min waiting on medication which they only saw 1 dog while i was there which got seen 10 min after i got my dogs medication, the 2nd time for a follow-up, and my dog was deathly afraid to go back with the staff, actually hide behind me, which was not like my dog at all and made me wonder what happened previously for him to react that way. They did good at solving the issue with medication, didn'toffer advice to try different food or anything, but as packed as they say they are, they really aren't especiallywith only 3 exam rooms and 1 vet. I caught the staff of 5 or 6 people multiple times in the back office when I was there or even walked the store to get pet food. I found a new vet after the 1st time for my pets
