Pumpkin is the best!

Pumpkin is the best! I really spent a lot of time and research on picking the right insurance company for my 2 beautiful Maine Coon cats. I wanted it to be convenient (submitting claims on line) and great customer service - Pumpkin has surpassed my expectations. I tell everyone I know about Pumpkin Insurance and I can tell you - you won't be disappointed :-)

Thank goodness we had Pumpkin

Thank goodness we had Pumpkin. Our puppy, Raven, had to go to the Vet ER. Pumpkin paid our claim without question.

Pumpkin handled our claim promptly

Pumpkin was easy to sign up for. Sales rep on the phone was very helpful and patiently answered all my questions. I would have given 5 Stars, but when I had a claim, I waited on hold for 1+ hours for a claims rep and finally gave up. Guessed how to answer a couple of the claim questions and submitted it. Electronic response was fast and professional. Pumpkin paid the claim per the agreement and within their stated time period I received a check. Overall, I am pleased with Pumpkin and their rates are competitive. 4 Stars. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Monthly Cost

Plans start as low as $30 per month. Prices vary based on plan type, pet breed, age, and location.

Coverage

Every pet is covered by a 90% reimbursement rate to make it easier to say “yes” to the best possible care.

Payout Limits

Annual limits of $10,000, $20,000 or unlimited for dogs and $7,000, $15,000 or unlimited for cats.

Deductible

3 options: $100, $250, $500 and $1000

Age Limits

No upper age limits. Pets must be at least 8 weeks old to enroll.

Waiting Period

Insurance coverage begins 14 days after your policy begins for all conditions, including knee/ligament issues where some other policies make you wait 6 months for coverage. No waiting periods for preventive care (in fact, depending on when you received the care, you may be eligible for a retroactive refund).

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. However, unlike some other pet insurances, Pumpkin’s plan covers some curable pre-existing conditions if symptom-free for 180 days, with the exception of knee and ligament conditions. For full terms, visit pumpkin.care/insurancepolicy.
