Vitus Vet App

Vitus Vet App. Been waiting for something like this for so long. I've had VPI/Nationwide coverage for my pets for years and years. This app has made submitting claims SO much easier. I look forward to using it for more in the future.

A great purchase

I happened upon pet insurance as a benefit offered by my employer. It sounded like a good idea and it didn't seem too expensive so I bought coverage for 3 cats. That same year one of our cats broke her hip and the surgery cost over $3000.00. I submitted a claim and Nationwide sent me a check. They also helped me through the whole process. I'm extremely grateful to the skilled surgeon who performed the operation (our cat has made a full recovery) but I'm also grateful that this accident didn't cost me $3000.00. I am convinced that pet insurance is a prudent thing to have and Nationwide has been great. Thanks!

So Thankful for Nationwide

My husband and I are so grateful for Nationwide. It seems that every time we have a major expense for our dog, Nationwide's coverage is more than we expected. We can't imagine owning a pet without having pet insurance and there is NO question that Nationwide is the best out there. We highly recommend it.

Great product for the money

We chose Nationwide Pet Insurance over the other companies due to it's great value and volume of coverage. The many different plans you can choose from make it affordable to all.

Policies start at approximately $12 per month.

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
