Savior

My pittie needed an emergency surgery that costed nearly $7000 but thankfully I did not have to worry about whether to save my baby’s life or go broke because of Nationwide Pet Insurance. Within a month, they reimbursed 90% of my bill; no questions asked. Definitely worth having the Wellness Plan - would recommend to anyone.

Can't live without!

Best thing we ever did was getting this insurance program for both of our Golden Retrievers. It gives us piece of mind and money back on nearly every visit to the vet. Not just some $ but a big return. It makes things so much easier knowing there is help with the cost. And if you ever have any questions, their customer service is awesome. Thank you!

Glad we decided to get our kids insurance

Very pleased with the coverage. Beside minor things over the years in Aug our 6 yr old tore her ACL and In Jan she tore the other one. Thank goodness she was covered. No issues just sent in the claim and in a short time we were reimbursed for most of it. And the representatives are have always been great if I had questions.

Nationwide pet insurance is one of the best things I've ever done.

Nationwide takes care of my girls. All claims have been taken care of in a timely matter. My dogs health is very important to me and with Nationwide, I don't have to worry.

So happy I have insurance.

I have had insurance on my pets for many years, and have been very pleased with it. The little guy that is right now sitting in my lap (and helping me type) is 15 1/2 years old, and was a rescue.He has had several health issues over the years, but now s basically healthy. Health insurance really helped me give him the best care available.

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
