Taking care of Sassi!

We are so very pleased with Nationwide Pet Insurance. We debated for a couple of years before we actually bought it, thinking that it would be as horrible if not worse than insurance for ourselves. Actually it is easier, quicker & less time consuming in filing claims for Sassi than dealing with our insurance. There is no run around & claims are processed quickly with a 90% reimbursement every time! Thank you so much in caring for our fur babies, Sassi & Pippa!

Pain Free Experience

Working with Nationwide Pet Insurance has been a breeze. While dealing with a lot of bladder issues with my dog, the process of submitting claims has been very simple, especially through the VitusVet app. I have not had to get involved in disputing or adding more detail to a claim. Whatever process happens between the insurance company and my vet has not had to go through me, which I greatly appreciate.

Nationwide Pet saved my pet's life.

I am very thankful that I have Nationwide Pet Insurance. My cat Sebastian was in a very bad state with his bladder being blocked and it was a tough decision to have the PU surgery, but what made it easier was knowing that I had Nationwide Pet insurance on him and with his policy I would be able to save his life. He is doing so well now, and as my friends ask me about him, I always add that if it wasn't for the pet insurance, it would have been a lot worse for him. I always ask them if they have pet insurance and that they should look into getting Nationwide Pet Insurance, it only takes a few minutes to get a quote.

This insurance has been fantastic!

This insurance has been a lifesaver! Very easy and user-friendly. The payouts have really helped for expensive vet bills! I am really glad we did this - no regrets!

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
