Nationwide | Pet Insurance Review

I love the coverage and it is at a wonderful price but even after sending in all medical records it still took around 3 months to get a determination and claim reimbursement. I know since it was my first claim it can take longer to review and process everything however, more communication on the status of the claim would have been appreciated.

You never know how glad you are to have insurance until you need it. When my four year old fur baby was diagnosed with bladder crystals, nothing but surgery would fix the issue. She is great now and Nationwide made the experience so much easier by having easy online claim filing and quick approval turnaround. And, once approved, the payment arrived in days. To anyone who thinks insurance is an unnecessary expense, just wait until you get hit with a big surgery bill. I’ve had insurance with my previous animals and will never be without it. GREAT JOB NATIONWIDE! Thanks for being there for my little girl.

We are about to go into our third year with Nationwide and you have never paid for one ear claim. With my renewal docs for 2018 I received an addendum that ear infections would be covered if Charlie went one year without an ear infection (which he did). He was seen on 10/13/18 and had an ear check and cytology which came back Negative for an infection yet you denied the claim.

This has been a tough year for our dog Tucker from losing a toenail which became infected, to an aural hematoma to arthritis - all for the first time in his life. I don't know what we would have done without pet insurance. It gives us the confidence to do everything necessary to give him the best care without having to worry about how we can afford it. When he had been walking without using his front leg for over a week, the vet did an x-ray to determine the cause with a concern of bone cancer. Fortunately it was arthritis not cancer, but it was a very tearful and anxious wait to until the x-rays came back. During the wait, we did have a peace in knowing that whatever treatment or tests he needed, that we would be able to proceed with the blessing of Nationwide Pet Insurance. I am very please with the amount they cover per claim, the only tough thing at times is the the average 4-5 weeks to receive the reimbursement.

My experience with Nationwide pet insurance has always been outstanding. The people I speak to genuinely care about my pets and are always helpful and supportive, and pay claims in a timely manner. I highly recommend Nationwide to anybody with a cat or a dog.
