Responsive and Helpful When We Needed It

We had a rough year with our girl, having to undergo two emergency surgeries for gut-related issues. Nationwide was there to cover a majority of the costs, and even followed up with an email to see how she was doing. For anyone who has four-legged family members, definitely get pet insurance and go with Nationwide.

Excellent care excellent coverage !!

Everything at the vet went well and everything from the insurance side went well. I’m so happy and satisfied with Nationwide. They give me peace of mind that my animals will be taken care. I don’t need to worry about the expense of vet care. So relieved !!

Claim Status

It takes to long for the claim to be processed and then to receive reimbursement. No other problems than that.

Nation Wide make filing a claim a chore and their app is useless.

I had another insurance provider and they were helpful, courteous and paid without all the hoop jumping NW puts you through. I could simply photograph the billing statement through their USERFRIENDLY app and thing got done. Quickly and hassle free. NW needs to seriously work on this problem.

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
