Nationwide | Pet Insurance Review

Having a new pet and a big dog at that, Nationwide Pet Insurance has been totally worth the monthly premium. Pet healthcare is as expensive as a normal person now and the insurance has really made keeping our dog healthy much more affordable. It has certainly eased our fear of doctors visits and the bills.

We couldn't be happier with the service and the coverage for our dogs.

It's so easy to submit claims via email and the prefilled claim form. I almost always get a portion back and the checks arrive quickly.

We purchased Nationwide pet insurance about a year ago at the suggestion of our veterinarian who said that many of his clients have been pleased. We have had a very mediocre experience thus far. One of the claims took 3 times to actually receive the check. Payment processing time is much longer than it appears to be from the claim processing time. Furthermore, the annual premium went up by 150% for the second year despite saying that it isn't related to claims. I have a family member who has a different pet insurance and had a good experience following hip replacement surgery. Wish I had gone with that company instead. Definitely looking around to consider whether we will continue with Nationwide in the future.

Both of our dogs have been insured by Nationwide for nearly 8 years and interactions have always been excellent. The coverage is comprehensive, almost every vet visit is totally or close to totally covered, the claim process is simple and we have never had a single issue with the reimbursements. It’s a pleasure to deal with their representatives on the phone or web, and our claims are always processed quickly and fairly. From now on, all our dogs will have Nationwide policies from Day One!
