Nationwide | Pet Insurance Review

This was my first time submitting a claim for one of my pets. I didnt' know what to expect for reimbursement and honestly didn't have high expectations of getting anything back. Imagine my surprise to receive full reimbursement minus my deductible!! Sooo thankful to Nationwide! Now I don't have to worry about the vet bill and can concentrate on getting my Sam back to 100%.

Claims were processed very timely; paid more than I expected for my pet's medical expenses.

Could not have done it without Nationwide. My cat Tommy is able to get great care that I otherwise would not be able to afford.

Overall the claim process was easy. I did have a claim rejected stating it could not be easily read, though I did a screen shot of the actual invoice from the clinic, which was the same thing that had been submitted previously without issue. I did not like that I didn't get any response that the resubmitted version was acceptable so had to wait another month to see if it would go through. This was not a huge issue since it was a small bill, but I imagine I would have been more frustrated if it was a larger claim and I had to wait 2+ months to get reimbursement. I do find the claim process cumbersome on the Vitus Vet app. I also cannot select my vet clinic in the patient information section because it is not within the designated radius of my home. it does not allow me to choose any other way.

Very happy with my service. Easy to file claims and am able to check on the status of my claims.
