subsequent treatment of initial injury should have better coverage.
In all fairness to Nationwide, their coverage of the initial injury was very reasonable. However, subsequent follow-up treatments for the same injury, which were deemed prudent by the veterinarian were totally denied. Nationwide should revisit and revise their policies to allow, within reason, for such coverage.

Convenient & Caring
Nationwide made paying for the major medical costs for my dog/furbaby, Oliver, so easy and convenient! When Oliver had to be rushed to the vet this spring, I was worried about his health. But I wasn't worried about the costs - $650. I knew that Nationwide covered it under my dog insurance plan conveniently set up through payroll deduction. When I called Nationwide's customer service to check on the claim, they explained that they hadn't received it yet. They reassured me that, on receipt, they would process it as quickly as possible. I called my vet's office to remind them to file the paperwork. I received email notice that Nationwide had my claim and notice again when they finished processing it. Within two weeks, Nationwide direct deposited the refund to my bank.

Nationwide insurance for my dog
My dog is 2.5 years old. I took insurance with Nationwide when she was about 6 months. The claim process is simple. One can either email or fax the claim. So far I never had a issue receiving the reimbursements whether the bill small or big. The customer service is also friendly.
