Excellent claim service!

Thank you for checking up on Tucker. He is back to his normal playful self with a six inch surgical scar on his belly! Your help with the cost of his medical care was appreciated. The ease of making our claim and the swift response we received with payment was exceptional service. Peace of mind!!

Having this insurance gives me peace of mind knowing that I will be able to afford unexpected illnesses. The service is phenomenal they are always so courteous and helpful if you need assistance. Highly recommend this insurance company for your pets!

Reliable

We were able to bring Jake to a new animal hospital on Labor Day when he got sick. We did not have to worry and most of the fees were covered!

Helpful staff, but a long wait time for first claim

Mattie's initial claims included a surgery. We did not find out if that claim was accepted for two months and that was a bit stressful. Other than the wait time, the service has been wonderful. I also used the vet helpline and that staff-member was wonderful. Mattie is getting better every day more and more.

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
