My last two beloved Beagles convinced me I needed pet insurance on my next dog.
My last two beloved Beagles convinced me the next time I adopted a dog I would make sure I had pet insurance. I adopted a 6-1/2 year old Basset Hound mix that had never been to a veterinarian and unfortunately he came with several unknown health issues including severe dental issues.
I picked MetLife Pet Insurance after reviewing several different companies policies including submitting claims. Each time I've submitted claims the representative I spoke with on the phone has been SO VERY helpful! Each one has gone beyond the scope of what they were required to do but it helped save time and frustration for me!
MetLife also has a video to watch which explains exactly what is needed to submit a claim and all of it can be done online or through the mail if one prefers. I have submitted all my claims online and within a week MetLife has deposited the covered portion of the claim into my bank account.
Pet care has become extremely expensive but I've been thankful for the coverage MetLife includes with my policy. It has truly given me peace of mind when I take my pet to the vet.
