Absolutely pathetic. I cancelled Figo after having them for 1-2 years, religiously paying my premiums for my two dogs. I submitted a claim for one of my dogs who had a small pimple sized growth on her hind leg. A month ago it started bothering her and the vet treated it, doing a biopsy to make sure it wasn’t cancerous. Because this small pimple was there prior to coverage(but the problem arose during coverage), Figo denied the claim. They are disgraceful money grabbers.
They are quick to get reports from the vet and issue payments. I gave four stars because there were issues with making payments to me. They would show that the claim would be paid but no payment was issued and they close the claim. I’d have to follow up and then payment was issued.
I had a very disappointing experience with Figo Pet Insurance. I purchased this policy for peace of mind, expecting my cat's medical care to be covered when needed. However, when I submitted a claim for an ear infection that occurred after my policy became effective, Figo denied it, stating it was a pre-existing condition.
My policy began on October 3, 2025, and there were no documented ear problems before that date. I appealed the decision and provided additional information supporting my case. I was told I would receive a response within about 30 days, but it has now been over 30 days, and I still have not received any update or decision on my appeal.
It's frustrating to pay monthly premiums and additional fees for coverage, including the Vet Exam Fees add-on, only to have a claim denied under these circumstances. I expected a thorough, fair review and a clear explanation based on my cat's actual medical history.
Based on my experience, I do not recommend Figo Pet Insurance. I paid for coverage expecting support when my cat needed medical care, but instead I received a denied claim and have been waiting more than 30 days for a response to my appeal. Because of this experience, I will be canceling my policy.
Not happy with the red tape to get paid I am going back to lemonade and will be saving money plus annual coverage is double and deductible is half the cost
Disappointed in the communication from via Pet Cloud. I submitted a claim on June 12, 2026 which as of today, 6/28 it's still in review. Is this standard practice not to al lease communicate with me why it's taking so long? I continue to check the FIGO app...no resolution.

Age Limits
Must be 8 weeks or older to enroll. No upper age limits apply.
Waiting Period
1-day for accidents, 14 days for illnesses, 6 months for hip dysplasia and orthopedic conditions. (Both hip dysplasia and orthopedic condition waiting periods can be waived by having exam/waiver form completed by veterinarian)
Exclusions
Curable pre-existing conditions may be eligible for coverage if symptom free for 12 months
Conditions arising from a repetitive and specific activity, eg. Ingestion foreign object, ear infection caused by water, snake bites, etc. – excluded after 3 occurrences
