Fetch | Pet Insurance Review

I have had nothing but problems with this company. Prices go up every year. It has gone up 4x the amount and I have a healthy 4 year old dog. Finally decided to cancel and I feel SO relieved. This is after finding an unauthorized charge on my credit card. Fetch claims this was a seperate tax charge. Never in my life has any company charged seperately for taxes so I beleive this is a lie. My main issues are lack of responsiveness and slow communication. I've spent hours waiting for responses from agents that don't seem to know what's going on.

please please please don't get pet insurance with fetch, they take 2 months to review claims AND you HAVE to take you pet to the vet at least once year for your insurance to be valid. We were paying $200 a month for our insurance (for two big dogs) had 1 vet visit for our puppy and we didn't get anything back because we were $9 under the deductible. The math doesn't add up and they don't want to pay you. We switched to CAA pet insurance, pay cheaper rates, and have got our claim review and payout back in days. Please don't waste your money on fetch! it's super concerning because what if you had a large vet bill and they didn't pay you? but yet you paid into your insurance for years? so frustating!!!

I was calling to cancel my pet insurance for my two dogs (Bent'e & Barely A Dog). My Husband recently lost his job and I am on Social Security. My customer service representative just happed to be Denise A. Who not only showed empathy, but was able to get me a reduce monthly payment regarding Barely A Dog, She gave me options and worked with me on both accounts. Her bedside manner, professionalism, knowledge of the company and overall representation was EXCELLENT. When I asked how long she had worked at Fetch, she informed, since Jan 2023. I was impressed. I'm pretty disappointed in the Fetch business model. I got Pet Insurance for financial security and peace of mind. It has turned out to be very frustrating, as there is A LOT of uncertainty surrounding the coverage and every trip to the vet is a gamble. It will be extremely stressful if I ever have to make a quick decision about whether or not to go through with a procedure that may, or may not save my dog's life, but will ultimately end up resulting in a lot of debt if it turns out not to be covered after waiting for 15 days to get the invoice and HX notes assessed by a Fetch representative. Even a 1-3 day wait time to get a pre-approved authorization by the Fetch team is not going to help very much if my dog needs immediate care. I would like to see an easily accessible, more user-friendly, less convoluted and continuously updated list of what will not be covered by one's Fetch insurance plan.

I have used this insurance for years and it has been a big help since Jake my dog has gotten sick with Cushings disease. I can even get help with medication.
